Unfortunately the Bush Inn caught fire following a very hot chimney fire spreading heat into the centre of the thatch roof. The fire brigade arrived at the scene but were unable to control the blaze as the smouldering fire that spread through the centre of the reed could not be tamed, large sections of the roof were removed in efforts to minimise the damage. Shortly after the fire brigade left the scene we were appointed by our client having extensive refurbishment & re-building experience of fire damaged & listed buildings. Having worked closely with our client on another rebuild from the ground up on the Blue Ball, Sidmouth our attention to detail and quality workmanship was proven. Our in house departments were deployed to start on site and work closely with CADW and the listed planning department to ensure the project would replicate practices and techniques from the past.
