The brown field site selected was a reclaimed area of the old water ways leading to the Bay. We were awarded a turnkey project utilising all our in house department’s, construction, mechanical, electrical and joinery. The site required extensive road widening works to the public highway, substantial roundabout modifications, mains sewer connection, mains water, gas, electrical services and protection to bentonite walling. The build consisted of 100 driven piles over 15m deep to form the basis of the concrete gas barrier/floor slab; followed by traditional brick and block walling with supporting steel work. The project was the first of a rebranded concept meaning the team adopted new designs and completed within programme along with the off-site road works located adjacent to a very busy retail park.
